For the Love of Bees is a citywide project in Auckland that has been live for six months. The steadily growing community is creating some serious momentum towards making Auckland the safest city in the world for bees. You can read more about this initiative on their website here.

If you’re in the Auckland area in September, here are some events coming up:

2nd September – Designing an organic growing hub for our city with Trish Allen

10-1pm at 257 Symond Street (the community garden)

This is the last class this winter with expert Permaculturist Trish Allen. Use this class to learn about how the city is applying permaculture to the new Biodynamic/Permaculture market garden being developed in the inner city.

3rd September – Free Natural Bee Keeping School with Beezthingz
